I am a proud West Virginian! I was born and raised in Shinnston and graduated from Lincoln High School. I went on to get my undergraduate degree from Fairmont State University, graduating magna cum laude in 1991. In 2001, I graduated Order of the Coif from the WVU College of Law. From 2001 through 2009, I was in private practice in Fairmont. For the next 16 years, I worked for the federal government. In early 2025, I retired from federal government service and returned to private practice, focusing primarily on real estate title examinations, mortgage loan closings, and document preparation such as deeds, wills, and powers of attorney. My husband Mike is also a recent federal government retiree and works alongside me as a legal assistant in our downtown Fairmont office.
